Nefertari is a collection of warm, dark shades. Her fur is on the long side, colored a chocolate brown with black hair intermingled. Her underbelly is a lighter, warm tan, and her spots are vibrantly black. Deep amber eyes may warm the soul or set it aflame, depending on her mood.

She is very large, weighing 125 lbs and standing at 2.8 ft at the shoulders. She walks upon stilts and moves with surprising grace. When she fluffs up her fur, she appears dramatically larger than before. Her ears have only a few small nicks in them. There is barely-visible scar at the top of her throat.

personality

Nefertari is notorious for her usually calm demeanor. She likes to present herself as mature and level-headed, even in tense situations, and she really can be. But do not let this fool you—there is a violent, bloodthirsty beast lurking just beneath the surface. She does truly have more patience than others her size, but some make the mistake of taking her collectedness as weakness. Those individuals end up paying dearly.

In the blink of an eye, Nefertari can go from standing in a relaxed posture to having her teeth sunk into someone. She has no tolerance for disrespect, and if she feels as if she has been then she deals out punishments swiftly but quietly. Then, the mask goes back on as if nothing had transpired. However, she holds tight grudges, so do not believe that you have been forgiven.

She does usually calculate her decisions carefully, but if angered then rage can overcome her, and she makes rash decisions because she dearly wants the other to pay. She can be unsympathetic and cruel towards those she feels have wronged her, no matter how slight the wrongdoing. However, Nefertari is very protective and caring of those she holds dear and is very capable of affection. But she is that much crueler to those who hurt them.

History

Nefertari grew up in a very large clan outside of Wanangwa. She was the only daughter of the matriarch, who taught her all the skills she would need to be a leader from a very young age. Her mother ruled with an iron fist, and she aimed to do the same. Then, when Nefertari was 2 years old, her mother gave birth to two more daughters. The larger of the two, Monifa, ended up killing the smaller in their infantile dominance disputes.

Nefertari and Monifa's relationship had always been a rocky one. Nefertari found Monifa to simply be a brat who never grew out of her immaturity. She was petty and full of herself, and the two fought frequently—sometimes because of an argument gone out of hand, and others because Monifa was persistent in challenging Nefertari's rank. But she never got it.

The clan was so prosperous that Farai proposed they spread their glory, sending Nefertari off with a group of followers to found another branch of the clan. To both the daughters' bafflement and distaste, Farai suggested that Monifa go with her. For they were sisters, and she wanted their bond to grow. Strangely, she obeyed without much protest, which Nefertari thought was out of character. For once, she wished she'd been more like herself.

At one point in their travels, Monifa asked Nefertari if they could speak alone. Reluctantly, she obliged. Once a long distance from the others, Monifa attacked Nefertari, but this was unlike her other challenges. This time, she intended to kill, aiming for Nefertari's throat. But Nefertari was the larger, more skilled fighter, and she instead killed Monifa. Despite how they never got along, the fact that her own sister was so thirsty for power that she would betray her and even kill her stung fiercely.

Still, the group traveled on, but they came across many harsh trials. Though they made sure to travel in the rainy season, a thunderstorm managed to start a fierce wildfire, and Nefertari was separated from her clan mates. Now, she travels alone in Wanangwa, homesick, hurt, and bitter.
