Out-of-Character Rules
1. Be courteous to other members and staff alike, even if you disagree. If you have an issue with a member, PM a staff member about it. If you believe a staff member is not acting appropriately, PM an administrator.
2. Consider this roleplay to be rated similarly to PG-13. You must be 13 years old or older to join. As such, cursing, sexual innuendos, and depictions of violence are allowed. The restrictions are that you may not graphically depict mating, as this is not an 18+ site.
3. Slurs of any kind are not welcome here, nor is hate speech. We hold the right to ban you for partaking in either.
4. Trigger/content warnings must be placed at the beginning of any bio or post they apply to. Triggering content is anything that may evoke a panic attack or any related negative reaction from recollection of a traumatic event. Examples of such events include abuse of any kind, incest, and non-consensual intercourse. It should be noted that descriptions of injuries, blood, and corpses will be a common occurrence in this roleplay because it is centered around predators in the wild. Anyone with sensitives to these topics is not advised to join.
5. Avoid godmodding of any kind and making perfect characters.
6. Please try your best to put your posts in the appropriate places. Staff will move a post to the appropriate place and should let you know that the post has been moved. Put [ARC] in the title of your thread once finished so staff can move it to Archives.
7. The minimum word count for a post is 150 words, which is not much. It is expected that your posts are descriptive so that other members can appropriately respond. You do not need perfect spelling or grammar, but it must be legible enough that understanding you is not a challenge. You must also use English on this forum unless using another language minimally for a character. All IC posts must be in 3rd person.
8. While powerplaying is not allowed, thus permission is generally needed for your character to sustain injuries or die, they must suffer the consequences of their actions. If they break the rules of a group they are in, they are going to get punished. If they trespass on territory not belonging to them and get surrounded by multiple individuals, you must be realistic and fair. A staff member may step in to decide the outcome as realistically as they can if they feel like a realistic outcome has not been achieved.
9. There is a staff-controlled Mother Nature account in charge of making random events happen. These events may be widespread and are posted under Events, or affect just one group, possibly even just one character or those partaking in a thread. This gives the roleplay less predictability.
10. There is no official character limit, but any characters not accounted for on the monthly activity check will be deemed inactive. After the activity check, those characters will be permanently deleted. Characters that have been deleted are assumed dead in-character. If you give staff a head's-up about your absence so that we know the character(s) is/are not forgotten, they will not be deleted. If you want to bring a character back after deletion, you will have have them re-join the group they were in with an in-character explanation.
11. Unauthorized use of others' copyrighted work is prohibited. If you are allowed to use an image, you must link back to the owner and fulfill any other requirements the license they have states. Sometimes you're allowed to edit the image, sometimes you are not. If you had to get permission to use an image, you must also give proof of the permission. Flickr is a good website because you can search for images according to what license they're under. You may use other websites, this is just an example. If you can't find/edit an image for your character, you may draw or commission one, or someone may be generous enough to draw them for free. An image of your character isn't required, as the roleplay allows for impossible appearances.
