To get an official group of lions, spotted hyenas, or African wild dogs, there are requirements that must be met.
1. You must have a character belonging to one of the aforementioned species that has at least 50 posts. This character must be intended to lead the group, in the case of hyenas and wild dogs. For lions, this character must be a male. The names of groups do not have to include the word "Pride/Clan/Pack".
Ranks do not have to be strictly realistic, as creativity is welcome, but please do not stray too far off from what is natural for that species. For example, it's not logical to have a clan of hyenas where males are ranked above females because of the size and nature of the species. However, religions, special ranks, trades, and/or cultures are encouraged!
You may claim any currently unclaimed territory except rivers and small areas within a territory, as those come with it. (Ex: Wish Waterhole is an area within Mountainmeet, so claiming Mountainmeet means you also get Wish Waterhole.)
Fill out the following form and submit it to Sparx's PMs to review.
2. Once your group idea has been accepted, post a thread in Pending Groups with all of the group's information to get people interested. Track pledged members and founding posts here.
3. You must have 4 other characters by 4 separate users pledge to join the group. The characters must also be of the same species and have at least 50 posts to count towards the group becoming official. Characters who don't have 50 posts yet may still pledge to join, but they do not count towards the official group status.
4. There must also be at least 10 threads made that involve the actual formation of the group. 4 pledged characters with 50+ posts and the founder must be included in at least some of the threads. These threads can include recruiting and/or getting to know the members, discovering parts of the territory, marking it, or making other preparations like digging out dens.
5. Once all of this has been done, PM Sparx so that she can review everything and make your group official! Once it's official, you may make a thread in Official Groups with your group's information. Please include a section for births and deaths, joining and leaving members, important events, and relationships with other groups, as well as the group's other information.
